Heidi Roland-Kenn

B.App.Sc.(Physiotherapy)
Masters Professional Ethics

Heidi graduated as a physiotherapist from Cumberland College of Health Sciences, University of Sydney in 1997. Since then she has worked in the public and private setting with a particular focus on chronic pain management at both the Pain Management and Research Centre at Royal North Shore hospital and as Senior Physiotherapist at the Pain Clinic at RPA.

Heidi's experience in chronic pain management developed her understanding of the important role of exercise and active management in dealing with chronic pain and illness generally.

Being aware of how we hold and move ourselves helps us understand and manage the demands we put on our bodies and the effects that work, sport, child bearing and rearing and life have on us. Pilates not only builds awareness of our movement but how to control and strengthen it. When someone understands that they are empowered to manage many of the physical challenges and niggles that develop from time to time. Heidi's experience and interest in yoga also serves as a valued adjunct to her classes.
